This issue about Eschers v. Thuringians has gotten confused because we don't all use the same terminology. I don't think there's any serious dispute that other companies – Fox, Droescher, etc. – packaged, labeled, and sold the exact same stone as Escher & Co. It used to be common on SRP to simply call these "eschers," whatever brand they were, saving "Thuringian" for the NOS stones sold by Muller, MST etc. The sands have shifted a bit and now it's more common to call the first sort of stone a "vintage Thuringian," the second a mere "Thuringian."
