I have not much done much with the hones recently, the project has been on the back burner from my end. I have been working on other things in the shop recently. I will get back to the hones, If I work too long on one thng it starts to seem like work.

So far I have been using just water, simply from habit. I have not noticed any slurry developing so far. In terms of glazing, rate of hone wear, lapping frequency, it is simply to early to come to any conclusions.
There are a couple of things we are experimenting with, one involves the process itself and the second is regarding the mold construction. This simply takes time to try out/build. Hopefully, in 2 weeks or so, the next version will be out of the cookers!:)
I have been to Randy's and seen some of his work and I will tell everyone that both Randy and Charlie are some very smart guys to develop a new hone. Not actually a new hone but a hone of this style ever since the woman at AHC died with the recipe in her head. This is a credit to good old American ingenuity.
Very nice work. I'm sure if you had some good reviews on it you would have no problem selling some here.
Keep at it. It looks like you're onto something good there.
Not sure how I missed this before but...
