Guess so!
Looks like a coticule, the yellow one on the left of the upper picture.
+1 on the blue/ yellow coticule combination hone. Looks like 8X2 inches and possibly a natural combination stone, too! Can you tell I don't like coticules much?:)
You're living in paradise, man!
Love the naturals on the last picture!
I am coveting these hones....
Oh save me great hoglahoo!!
The last 2 pic's are very interesting.
Is that modified saw horse a sharpeniing stand? If so what do you sharpen on it.
The last picture....are those natural japanese stones or..?
Nice collection and thanks for sharing,:)
I have been restoring Japanese swords for about 27 yrs.I use the synthetic stones for foundation polish and the natural for finishing. The traditional position is more of a squat on a very short stool, pad or block with cushion, barefoot, holding an "S" shaped wood clamp with your foot, holding or clamping a stone onto a wood block in front of you. This style rig is more geared to my hight(6')and the fact that i didnt start polishing im my teens like some Japanese apprentices.

Don't you want to show us some closeups of your hones
and tell us what they exactly are? :)
