Is it lapped?
I would guess that you probably lifted the spine a bit on one of the strokes or caught it on the edge of the hone, but it is just a guess.
The PHIG/CH12k/WHatevah is very slow and takes 100+ strokes, but dulling your edge points to technique.

If it's lapped, then it is just poor technique. Keep the blade flat and keep the pressure off. Flip it before you get to the end of the stone, so as not to drop the edge over the end of the stone. Also dont run off over the side of it too much either. There should always be enough of the blade flat on the stone to maintain the stability of the razor. Hope that is of some help.

Shoot I know it's poor technique I need more practice. But i shall heed ur advice and put it to use thank u sir
Just take it slow and easy then mate. You'll get it sorted in no time. It ain't rocket surgery afterall.

When I hone (and I M not a hone miester, just a user), I find that I have the tendancy to leave a wire edge.. So if I take it straight from the hone it feels dull.. If I hone then strop, then check it is sharp... So, maybe try that?
Ur might be right sir. I need to try that actually maybe the stropping will work
hard stones are unforgiving when i use my c-nat its 75 with lite slurry and 50-75 on water no pressure.
If it's a C12k which is a hard slow cutter and a polisher, so i don't think there'd be too many worries about getting a wire edge off of itQuote:
