Ok This is a new one

I have now seen it all but heck it passes HHT :) and it shaves smooth

Vintage Straight Razor

This is one vintage straight razor "Top Flight” made by Burrell Cutlery Co c.1941-1942. Located at 24 Rockwell Ave. Ellicottville, New York City Harold W. Burrell was president. It is in excellent condition with 6/8 "square point hollow ground blade, it is bright and clean; free of any pitting, cracks, nicks, chips or sharpening damage. It has small teeth on the edge that I believe are original. The cutting edge is well honed and smooth.It pass H.H.T. and is cutting hair with edge part with the teeth... It has blued shank that usually stands for hand forged. Front shank reads TOP FLIGHT with wings trademark reverse shank reads BURRELL CUTLERY CO, INC. ELLICOTVILLE N. Y. It has white cream celluloid handles in very-good condition with some minor wear and scratches, free of chips, cracks or other damage with two pins that appear original. It opens and closes snug and smooth on the pivot pin and well centered between the handles. It is coming with its original leather case.
The razor measures 6 1/8"long when is closed.
All measurements are approximate.

This is very nice example of “Top Flight” Burrell Cutlery Co straight razor; it would be great addition to any collection or simply to use.

This is an example of the well-known "double pass" razor type. If you get it just right, and line the serrations up correctly, you can get a fine shave just by doubling the passes. And if you need to scrape some "zest" off an orange, it can be used for that as well.

Looks like a typo. A lot of german adjectives end in -ig, so maybe that had something to do with it?

Just a typo made by german typesetter setting up something in a language he didnt speak.

There is no german word for thinning that looks remotely like that or ending that way, besides its a verb used like an adjective in this example, ie a participle.

Yeah I know, I was just saying that at first glance the ending looks natural, not that it could be a real word, so I can see how the typo might have gotten made.
