Prolly a reason THAT thing is rare, too! :D
I can't recall whether it was a Henckles or maybe a dubl duck, but I've seen a razor where the steel blade actualy had tines like a comb. It was for razor cutting hair, maybe a tool for a barber to use for thinning hair. Kind of like the barber's thinning scissors, which also have a comb in one of the steel blades.
That Puma is the first I've seen like it. Not my cup of tea but rare for sure. The one Zak posted is the one I want. If I get it I'll send it to Lynn to hone ! :p
The DD style edge like this one is meant for haircutting and trimming not shaving.
Gotta agree that the Puma is for hair trimming. The one Zac posted is pretty cool! Looks like an old Arabian sword. I'd give it a shot if I found one but that tip would wind up deeply embedded in my ear lobe - assuming I still had an ear lobe when I was done!
Agreed. It, and it's ilk, were used by Della and Mr. Tony at the salon in the 50's/60's as razor cuts were popular. Along the lines of Brummell, DD, and Filly 4/8's made for the purpose. Just because it has Puma upon it does not make it 'rare' nor necessarily desirable.
Like a Lady Gillette to a President. Not so manly, IMO, and overpriced.
Now that thing Zak posted. Shave your face and cut off your ear at the same time.
Should be named the 'Van Gogh'! :dropjaw:
It is a morticians razor.
