Because it is embossed on the end I think it is a barbers hone. Drosescher put out some top shelf items though. so it may be a quality barbers hone
With that stamp its a barber hone. Might be nice, I don't have any experience with that one. BTW, I did see a Norton listed......
The thing is that some of these Ambicut are double sided hones, but the bottom part is natural stone thuringian, i cant tell from the pics whether this one is but is highly possible.

My Ambicut is a barber hone with thuri bonded to it. I have read about another type that supposedly has a black arkansas glued to it instead of the thuri, but I have not had one in hand to verify it.
Odd it has a slot for a slurry stone on the box for a barber hone in the op
I agree. looking at the instructions it is a two-sided hone. I expect the front is man-made and the back, Thuri. The slurry stone would be used for the Thuri side as Martin and Robellison suggested?Quote:
