Based on his Fili prices, I would expect a great deal more. Though his J-Wests have come down considerably recently...

I too watched this auction. I think the fact that these are NOS in original distributors packaging only adds to the value. The only problem with owning these, is I couldn't bring myself to use use one and "disturb the completeness" lol...OCD...

That's what I get off on Mike the fact that you are the one and only person to hone and shave with that razor always been a big draw to me to hunt down those NOS razors,. PS Mike I absolutely love that Filarmonica you have in your SOTD on the Shave den Magic.

Had they been square points, well that would have been a game changer. It would have move me from coveting my neighbors goods to jumping up and down screaming coveting with hand gestures.

Got to agree with you it may be a minor detail to some but the difference between a round point and a square point is massive to me I would definitely go the extra yard for the square point.

Agreed as well, spike point completes me, my favorite tip.

So are there any thoughts on the difference in shave, if at all, between a Doble Temple and a Novodur?

Yup, round points would ordinarily be a deal breaker...

    But...EPBD's!...SIX of 'em!...shiny wrappers...!

Jamie- That old Sub Cero of mine is a good 'un, but not even on the same playing field as your Novodur Para Professional! That baby is sublime.

Round points are fine! I rather like them. You can push on your ear and shave close!

Well, it may not be NOS, but I'm pretty happy I got this Filarmonica #14 EPBP, and I'm pleased with it not being 8/8 and a spike point, this will be a nice razor to change things up with, and probably the last one of these I'll come across for this price.
