Thanked: 1936I've only had about a half dozen cross my hands and all have been the same: good everyday razors & good steel. There is nothing that will win a beauty contest on the ones I've had or honed, but they have all taken a nice edge and held it as a proper razor should. That being said, if you like that razor...it should be just fine. I notice you are from "across the pond", you should consider sending it to Neil Miller once you have it in...he knows a thing or two about razors on your side of the world & is a great guy.

Thanked: 37From the name it could be a Trud Vacha. Some of their razors have names of russian rivers. They are excellent shavers, utilitarian aesthetic. I have two.

With most things Russian the quality is dependent on the era it was made. The older stuff is good and the newer stuff especially 70s and later not so good.
