Nice! I'm pretty sure that won't end up with my ducks. I wish it would, but since I won't even bother bidding on it, my ducks will remain rust free free.
But it is a beauty!
Haven't seen a stainless duck before either. I like my stainless razors too bad this one is already out of the ballpark for my taste. Nice to know they are out there though.

It's the same guy that was selling the 9/8 Goldedge. Reserve is not met and I would guess he has it WAY up there.
It is a very NICE looking razor though.
He is on my favorite sellers list, he gets pretty top dollars for his gear. It seems like all the stuff he puts out with a reserve, the reserve is very high, it makes me wonder sometimes if it is fishing expeditions, to help him decide if he really wants to sell or not. He has very very nice stuff most of the time.
I own one and it's a very smooth shaver for a SS. They usually show up at least once a year on the bay but yes, they are not that common especially in excellent condition. Going to use mine today for the new SOTD. :rock:
I don't think he's on the fence about any of his sales; I've met him in person and he's a great guy with access to some really nice stuff that I believe he wants to make a fair profit off of.Quote:

We have this antique small drawer storage cabinet. Each drawer is 3/4" deep and could hold about 40/50 razors each.
Yesterday I asked my wife if I can line it with a soft material and use it for a razor collection.
She said yes! BUT, don't try to fill it up in just one day.
She's great, but could be better! :o
Those stainless ducks are some of the last models they made. Not really so rare. I have one. Great shavers.

I had one of those once, but couldn't justify keeping it at the time since I was paying the bills with razors. Don't really miss it, though.
I've never had one, or seen one in person. I've seen at least one on SRP, or maybe it was on the bay. Not sure how rare. I did have a C-Mon Stainless at one time. I don't think those are common. Long gone now though. :)

He does have very nice gear and gets top dollar. I wish I could see what all he has. It makes me very curious.
Its pretty common practice. Put a insane reserve, and let it go. "Run it up the flag pole" kind of sort of.
Once a rough price is determined, choose to relist at the price of your choosing, OR, offer to take the sale private and save the Ebay and the Paypal fees, which for an item of that price, can add up.
Sadly, nothing I see surprises me anymore.
