a SRP member from sending you PMs? :banghead:
Settings, under my settings, edit ignore list. Type in name, okay.
I think?
While those that know me well know that I'm a Mastodon with this computer crap (Darth Vadar was right/they are Technological Terrors) I have used the 'Ignore' thing. While I'm not in your shoes about receiving unwanted PM's I was tired or having a certain member chime in with something way off the wall and most always with a 'Woe is Me' pathetic response. Anyway I tired of seeing his pathetic begging for attention posts so I did the 'Ignore' thing.
Well I don't have to read what Mr Pathetic has to say, but I know he is responding because it shows that he is on my ignore list when he posts!
Please PM me and let me know if the 'Ignore' works for PMs. So for 'my ignored' member hasn't tried to PM me/at least to the best of my knowledge. Maybe it's working?
Sad that there are people here just to have people feel sorry for them to make them feel better. And people respond and 'he' feels better :banghead:
Never said it was an unwanted PM . . . but my wallet might.
Wow. I feel lucky that I've not had to block anyone. For all I know, I'm being blocked.
Gentleman . . . first let me state outright that this thread was meant as a humourous one. A certain SRP member has taken to sending me PMs regarding certain eBay offerings (NOT his own) that he thinks might interest me. To whit . . .
Wade Butcher 15 16 Straight Razor for Barber Use | eBay
All that is left to say is . . .
PHRANK!!!
My apologies to anyone who was misled by the tone of this thread. :gaah:
and my actual thanks to Phrank for the tip.
May God Bless us, each and every one! ;)
Let me get this right....You are blocking Phrank because his razors are too nice?
Geez - power goes out in the hood, come back, Orville's sportin' Henry Rollin's pic as an avatar, and I've been banned, blocked and thanked all in one thread....good times! :rofl2:
Yep! Phrank, you are on the old ignore list! :p
Naah . . . but his tips are costing me cash. I don't own one of his . . . yet. By the time he gets around to trying to sell me one, I won't have any $$$ left.
Nice score Orv. Two FBU's under your belt already.. Good on ya mate.
I clearly swim in the wrong pools as I have yet to score my first of these big beasties.
Enjoy it!
There is no way to know from your end....
Another member and I did an experiment didn't we Chris, I think Phrank may have helped me too with blocking P.M'S (experimentally not permenantly)
here are the results (cut and pasted from another thread)
anyway after a bit of experimentation i have discovered that adding people to your ignore list does the following:
1- any posts they make become invisible to you, you just get a note where the post should be saying that x has posted but they are on your ignore list.
2- you don't receive PM's from them (got another member to help with this one)
3- what you can see on their profile is limited.
4- they dont know, in fact the member who helped me said that the PM sent exactly like it would normally.
I'm just upset Phrank doesn't throw me crumbs lol
Remember the old E.F. Hutton commercial ? Well ...... he ain't my broker, but when Phrank talks ....... I listen ..... :rofl2:

Received today. The pitting that had been taken care of seems to extend down to the bevel, but a closer look with a loupe will be needed to confirm that. Also, I should have looked more closely at the pics in the ad. This is a Barber's Notch that has been cut down to an "almost" French Point. A small portion of the remaining notch is visible in one of the pics, and a grinder of some sort has been used on the spine.
Not bad, though . . . not bad. This is now me done for a while.
Also . . . does anyone need a Joseph Allan & Sons NON XLL coffin box that is a little worse for wear. It does not go with my FBU, so speak up and it's yours, either hand delivered locally at the next meet up, or for the cost of shipping it to where you be.
I have a single Non Xll still that won't be part of my week set so would appreciate it if you don't find another taker Orv.
Thx.
First come first served, Mike. You got it. Just give me a reminder about it, so I remember to bring it with me next time there is a gathering.
End result . . . first shave was "meh" and I pulled the chute on it. Put it across my lapping films to touch up the edge and give it a second shot. Better, but still not as good as some of my other blades. this one is going to sit on the bench looking pretty (kind of like Kessel) until I can give it a good going over on some stones. Nothing looks out of the ordinary through my loupe, so I am guessing it just needs a little more TLC.
Still looks great, though . . .
