So I saw a old stub tail for sale for $99. No one bid. So now it is relisted at $150. :banghead: I find this very confusing. Is this a tatic on the bay. Usually when I find something and I think it is priced to high, but no one bids it either stays the same on the relisting or goes down in price. Why if something doesn't sell at 99 would you relist it for 150?
There are lots of fools looking for stuff on the bay! Maybe now someone will see it and think that it is worth $100 and make an offer, which the seller accepts after telling the buying that they are getting a deal!!
Oh buddy, if you are looking for logic on the Bay it is not there. There are so many things that make no sense at all on eBay, I don't even know where to begin. When I do a search for past sales to look at razor prices there are things that you just can't include if you are looking for an average. I have also experienced the delisting of items from my watch list that make no sense and what makes less sense is that they sell. I spend a fair bit of time watching on eBay and weird stuff goes on all the time.
You could offer the seller $500.00 if he'll take $50.00 for the stubtail.
Dumb arses buy tater chips shaped like people's faces ,,, not surprised with the price increase.
If I can find a Merkel chip my world leader collection will be complete.
You know. I guess all I really needed to do was look around at people as I go about my day. Oh yeah it all makes sense now. People are nutz.
For some, $99 may seem like a cheapo razor, but at $150.00, that's got to be a quality antique!! LolQuote:

I know the one(s) you are talking about, I have seen this tactic used often, and unfortunately sometimes the higher priced relists actually do sell. This guy doesn't seem to to keep up any sort of knowledge of razor values as random razors are listed for the same prices.

You must not own any big W&B choppers, I assume. There are many razors that are well worth over $50 on eBay. Then again, if you are lucky, you can find a great scores for ~$50. The most money I ever spent on a straight razor was a Dubl Duck Lifetime Grim Reaper. It was actually my most recent purchase, but also the only razor I have paid over $200 for.Quote:

The etching looks fine to me, consistent with other period acid etches. I don't see anything suspicious about the razor or case. Price is spot on. If that price is in pennies, that is.Quote:

I keep seeing a bunch of cheep ones that are for shure new with the same etching on it.
It looks like a W&B masonic razor to me. I tried looking for mine earlier, but couldn't find it.

I was watching those stubtails. The relisted wade was put up for $50.00 more on a buy it now or best offer. There is another stubtail with a BIN of $175.00. Maybe the vendor saw that and decided $99.99 was to cheap. Who knows:banghead:
