I just can assume nothing but my ignorance, but a X-ray razor with a corkscrew and that gilded scales (beautiful, BTW), and in a dogfight of bids? I am missing something for sure.:shrug:

The blade and the scales would otherwise be nice.

I can honestly say that I have never needed to pop a cork and shave in the same sitting, but perhaps now I should seek out a reason to! Still, razors are not delicate per say, but I still don't think I would be inclined to torque one down into a cork...

I know those scale collectors are serious about their passion but I've never seen one go that high.
I've been thinking about the utility of that corkscrew and I wonder if the scales could long survive if someone actually used the thing to open a bottle of wine ?
