really...whats the point? he can keep it...theres a collector out there though that will see it and be like "I can't believe no one has snapped this puppy up when it's such a great price!"
how in the hell would you use it? I can see one being in the scales, but what about when you are storing it? Can both be placed in it at the same time ?
..Beats me.
It looks like both can be simultaneously enclosed in the scales from one of the photos. Maybe there's a third scale in the middle  But yeah, using it could be a little tricky. If nothing else, with the scales up in the shaving position, and holding one of the blades, the balance must be attrocious.
Why would something like this have been manufactured in the first place? Maybe it's a "tourist" piece - not meant to be used, but just a memento of a trip to London

not only off balanced but no tail for the ring finger... i hope it was just meant for display.
as for the price... i think it will be back around with a more reasonable opening bid in a few days.
Clearly a razor that does right and left side of face in one go. Also doesn't discriminate between lefties and righties. Ideal razor! :ziplip:
Some believe in letting an edge rest a day, so you know..
I've had a dream for a while now. In my dream, straight razors, nose-hair trimmers, nail files and tweezers happily coexist in the one unit. For a while that dream was lost. But seeing this double-bladed straight had rekindled the fire.
I believe it *is* possible to contruct a "swiss army" straight! It will take guts and determination (and clever use of counterbalance and some nifty scales), but I'm sure it's possible! I'm off to see Papabull....
