I have several that range from 17/16 and up. Is this the best place to move them? And how does one really determine value on a said item aside from basing it on what he paid for it originally?..just to be clear I am not asking for a valuation 😊......any help is greatly appreciated
Depending on condition and originality, it seems.
You simply must list them and see what happens. A reserve if you like.
The market determines the price. Just like when you bought them.

Unless you know the market really well then you may either lose value, or it may not sell.
The value of any given razor has a number of factors affecting the price.
What often happens is when a seller gets ahold of what they think is the super expensive razor, so they list it at that high price, and it sits.
If you don't mind sitting on it waiting for that buyer who knows what he wants and perhaps even disdains the bidding process/wars that take place, sometimes they will pay even more than a bidder. But it has to be the real deal IMHO.
Most big choppers that get auctioned fetch a good price, though often higher!
I would auction them, and I think it would also result in a better than fair market value.

You can look through sold items on eBay and see what there is for comparisons. As always condition is everything when it comes to value.
well ebay will make you pay 8% fee or something on final sale. This place will just charge a 10$ fee once every year. I think you can do auctions on here but I'm not sure. Sometimes ebay will have bigger crowd bidding though so you could have more luck there.
I'm with Rez on this one. Look up old auctions. Compare condition, scale types, pinning work done. This makes a lot of difference to a collector.
I raffled a big 9/8 Wade & Butcher a little while back it made $450 US Dollars, I would say it was in super condition.
Where in the forums could I post pictures of said razors for a professional valuation on condition only...😄...not price.
Typically that sort of thing is left to email and private messaging. Pick someone you think knows a thing or two and ask their personal opinion. You could ask more than one person, however the more people you ask the more conflict you will find in their opinions. Which is part of the reason you would not want to ask it on the open forum. If you are clear on what you are looking for in your post, you will not violate the forum rules.
