Default Did this make it to anyones radar 10/8 Joseph Rodgers And Sons ~Straight Razor

I put a bid in for over 6 bills so whoever won it I def made them pay for it...then it just go tout of hand...lol and pocket
Maybe someone on here. Maybe not.

Just figured that I'd post to see if anyone knew about it

    Vintage ~ Wide Bladed ~ Joseph Rodgers And Sons ~Straight Razor w/ Groove ~ # 6
Up for auction is an amazing antique Joseph Rodgers & Sons WIDE blade straight razor, No. 6. Even has the groove at the end. A chip on the end of one side of handle. A great early straight razor! Blade measures about 1 1/4 in wide! Very nice! Guaranteed old.

    Thanks

I wonder if someone here got it. That would have been the perfect birthday gift (at least that's what I told myself).

I saw it and I honestly thought it was going to go for more. Not a lot of vintage blades that big and a lot of people want em

I honestly did not think the picures were that great and left some chance in my mind so I would not have gone anywhere near that high. If it was in premium condition with great photos I could understand the price.

I didn't mess with that auction. That style grind on the big ones is not my thing.

I hear ya. I did my best. I'm still suprised that no one posted it here though before. I thought this would have been the talk of the town at 1 1/4.

    Guess not.

I watched that one as well. $1025 is top dollar to pay for a Joseph Rodgers but as someone said you don't see them come up for auction very often. Beautiful razor in need of some nice custom scales. A great addition to someones collection....
