I'm personally not a fan of arkies for razors, but that is a nice looking kit.

They are rating Arkies with grit. Thats wrong to start with. Than the finest stone they say is 2k to 3k. Arkies are much finer than that if you were to try and give them a grit rating. 2x8 stones. Not a bad size. For knife sharpening i see no reason why not. But I think Id think twice about honing razors on them if they are no more than 3k. Thats just about bevel set. A goos looking set, box setup.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

I cant speak to that kit in particular, but there is Nothing wrong with using an Ark for a razor. a good surgical black, or Translucent white, and you can put a finishint touch on a razor as good as a Charnley Forest hone, or many Jnats. THey do have a learning curve tho, and much will depend on the surface prep of the stone.

I have nothing against it but personally I like to know more precisely what I am working with in terms of grit rating.

"Grit Rating" does not apply to natural stones. You can say "finishes similar to" or "works like a.."
but you cant give an actual number to it. Even the ever popular Jnats, are rated as "fine, super fine etc, or given ratings of 5, 5+ etc.
An Arky used for finishing only would be smooth as glass, and almost as hard. and yes, you Can use nagura on it, for the shits and giggles.

Mainly for knives, but will work in a low grit progression of
no better than 4-5000 grt., then u could move to a Lilly white, Trans, or Black Ark.

If u really enjoy honing. Arks can be fun, and frustrating, fore they are really slow.
