Default Ebay razors with green scales and funky tags

Anyone been seeing these razors pop up for months? All seem to have the same green scales and complicated tags where someone seemingly came up with a system of multipliers to come up with a value. Interesting, same scales, like they only liked the green micarta or whatever it is. The thought process on the valuations is like they had figured it all out. I'd like to know the story about the collection being liquidated.

Seen these a while back, many photos look photoshopped, and very poorly to the point that the razors look grainy. Although the effort to do that seems silly to me, but the seller must have their reasons.

I've seen some poor pics on ebay, but that one's a doozy. As for that tag...

Just a piece of unsolicited advice for anyone thinking on buying themselves a razor from ebay: if the picture is this bad, stay away unless you can get better/clear pics from the seller. I don't know that seller and so am not at all suggesting anything is being hidden by the crappy pics on this listing, but many bad things *can* be hidden by crappy pics.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanks for the reminder - I had forgotten about that thread.

Looks like he needs to dial the saturation way down on his camera. Seems the seller has an old 'price guide' or something.
    Nothing special in sight?

I've been browsing on ebay for years and i rarely buy from there anymore. I have noticed the quality drop over recent years. It used to be full of amazing W&B.
Maybe its the same and now i know what to look for things have changed?

I looks through and see Sheffield razors have been reduced to worn toothpicks. American and German razors honed to death and in rotting scales.

Only expensive NOS Germans and Friodurs from Japan seem in good condition. TBH, all I look for are scales.

Looks like he deliberately took hazy pics of the razor as the pics of the tag and the box full of razors is sharp and focussed. I bet he has something to hide, i.d. rust and frowning edge. 2 things you don't want.
