It sounds to me as if he is having personal issues. To the point that his wife is answering his email for him. That is bad as we all know even if ill you can still look at email.

I'd wait and see what they have to say about this last request. I don't think you have been too pushy or anything.
BUT, if you don't get a response I'm not sure that you have any type of recourse so all you can do is be polite but stern and wait.

    Good Luck.

    Keep us informed.

On December 29 of last year, I messaged Dimitry telling him Id like to buy the razor, and he immediately messaged me back saying he needed the PayPal friends & family option or he would have to pay a lot of taxes. On January 5, I sent $99.00 from PayPal, which, with the conversion, cost me $103.95 and gave Dimitry $83.95. On January 10, Dimitry messaged me saying he had received my payment and he would ship the package that week and send me the tracking number.

On January 28 and February 1, I messaged him on this site about shipping and got no reply. On February 4, I sent him an email asking if he was OK. His wife immediately replied saying he was ill and that she would find out about the razor and send it to me. On February 14 she emailed me saying the razor was packed and ready for shipping. On April 5, I emailed back asking if there was any information about the shipment, and on April 14 I again asked for the tracking number or an explanation, and the wife wrote back saying she would find the tracking information and send it to me.

Today I sent an email asking for a razor, an explanation, or a refund. Well see what happens.

Do you figure Dimitry might once have been a Nigerian Prince?
I honestly have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior. If I sell something I ship it ASAP. If I was ever in the situation where I couldn't ship it then I would return the money. It doesn't take much effort to log into PP and refund the money.

Here's the question: What payment source did you use, via PayPal, for this purchase -- a credit card, debit card, or your bank account? Each of these gives you different coverage/protection. A debit card usually has little-if-any buyer protection; a credit card usually has much more; a bank account is "iffy" (some financial institutions care about their customers, others not so much, and some not at all). In any/every case, you should call PayPal ASAP and get them involved. If nothing else, they might kick him off their platform (and protect future buyers). It's worth saying that for any/every international PayPal transaction, use "Goods and Services".

I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I think sometimes they see me coming right down the block. I transferred money from my bank account to PP to pay Dimitry because I don't keep a PP balance. Turns out he might not have been such a good friend or family after all. I will contact PP and see what they say.

That's OK, I don't keep a PayPal balance, either... and I also use bank-transfer-to-PayPal as my payment source. Still, do contact PayPal -- sooner, rather than later (it's already "later") and, on Monday, call your bank. My "bank" is a rather unhelpful credit union, but your bank might be willing/able to do more. Good luck!

So, you've been lied to multiple times. Contact paypal and try and get your money back or your credit card outfit.

Otherwise chalk it up to experience.

Definitely contact Paypal. See what they say. Even if they won't refund it they may at least have helpful advice.

Does anyone else feel embarrassed and upset that this new shaver with only 4 posts has had such a bad experience with one of our members and the B/S/T.

@GarciaF - If you have no luck in a week or two, PM me. I'll send you a razor, it won't be anything special and it won't be worth anything to speak of but it will be a vintage straight razor and it will be shave ready.

I got an email from Dimitry's wife today:

    I've found the trackingnumber, RF084930785BE.
I contacted the postoffice, they said the shipping was out of there reach.
So I contacted customs, it is stuck there. They are returning the package to me and should receive it this week.
Is it ok to resend it to you and try again?

I told her I didn't trust that I would ever get the razor and that I would prefer a PayPal refund. We'll see what happens.
