I ordered a razor from Dimitry, and on January 10, he sent me this message:
I've received your payment in good order. Your package will be shipped this week.
You will receive your tracking number when it's shipped.
Since then, I have heard nothing from him despite sending many messages here and sending him an email. His wife replied to the email on February 4 and promised delivery of the razor, but I still have not received it.
Is there anything I can do, or should I just consider it money lost?

Thanked: 616If you paid thru PayPal check to see if you are covered. If it was a credit card call the credit card company.

The member list shows his last activity was February 27 but the last post was November 26 of 2021. Maybe he fell Ill. Haven't heard or seen anything.

Unfortunately my buddy had a similar experience with him back in 2020. It took months to get the razor but he eventually did.

I certainly hope everything works out well.
I always say that a person (new shaver) is completely safe buying a razor from our B/S/T.
I would feel awful if someone i recommended buy from us has a terrible experience, I think until this member either gets his money back or the razor that he paid for from one of our own i'll stop suggesting to new shavers that they buy a razor from B/S/T.- - Steve

I have to say I bought from him many years ago without issue. Something must have come up in his life that has caused this. I hope he is OK.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 315Never pay Friends and Family to someone you don't really know. There are guys here I would put cash in an envelope for, but if we don't have much dealings with each other I'm paying Goods and Services.
If the fees are that big a deal you can always add that to the total. Seller should be assuming buyers will pay Goods/Services anyway.
What kind of razor is it? Is this your first razor?

The old adage is "buy the seller". If his previous experience is good then you can assume it will eventually arrive. It is possible something has come up in his life.
However the time is unacceptable. I would look into a refund depending on payment type after one final ultimatum letter saying explain, produce or refund.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 4This is my first razor. I like using archaic tools. I had been using a safety razor for a while and figured I should take the next step. I have a shavette now, but it’s getting a bit tedious and I’d really like to have a real razor. Here’s the story of my dealings with Dimitry:
On December 29 of last year, I messaged Dimitry telling him I’d like to buy the razor, and he immediately messaged me back saying he needed the PayPal friends & family option or he would have to pay a lot of taxes. On January 5, I sent $99.00 from PayPal, which, with the conversion, cost me $103.95 and gave Dimitry €$83.95. On January 10, Dimitry messaged me saying he had received my payment and he would ship the package that week and send me the tracking number.
On January 28 and February 1, I messaged him on this site about shipping and got no reply. On February 4, I sent him an email asking if he was OK. His wife immediately replied saying he was ill and that she would find out about the razor and send it to me. On February 14 she emailed me saying the razor was packed and ready for shipping. On April 5, I emailed back asking if there was any information about the shipment, and on April 14 I again asked for the tracking number or an explanation, and the wife wrote back saying she would find the tracking information and send it to me.
Today I sent an email asking for a razor, an explanation, or a refund. We’ll see what happens.
Do you figure Dimitry might once have been a Nigerian Prince?
