P.S. Manly yes,Buy I'm watching it too!
Hmm. Bit tricky this one but just double checked my razor and it is the exact one you are looking at. It has the two small dot imperfections near the point - so unless they were all made like that...
I bought it from this vendor a few weeks ago. You should double check if you are interested and ask questions about the blade fit with the scales and any scale warping. NOS does not seem to guarantee straight scales.
He has obviously just made a mistake with the images but better to check out 'the' razor for sale rather than a picture of the one I have!
Hope that helps - he is a very decent guy to work with, just maybe a lot on at the mo?
Cheers
Stephen
I have a snipe set on that one, it is an attractive razor. If some one really wants it let me know and I'll cancel my snipe, I don't really have my heart set on it.
That puss would look good in anyone's collection. Mrrrowwww!! I hope one of you gets it and reports on how it shaves.
Just to reiterate - the razor that is listed is not for sale - I own it! I would recommend that you ask for details of the 'actual' razor for sale. I should also say that it takes a good edge and is one of the best shavers I have currently.
cheers
Stephen
Thanks, Makar, you might be saving someone from a terrible disappointment--assuming they take the time to understand your posts.
I just bought this fine-looking feline on eBay yesterday: Le Jaguar No. 721. It is 6/8", I think. A beautiful blade in what looks to be its original box apparently in excellent condition. I'll be interested to see how deep that "tooth" on the blade is. I downloaded the pic and tried enlarging it and lightening and darkening the contrast to see how bad the damage is. My impression is that it looks ok, and *should* hone out fairly easily. Well, here goes and fingers crossed!
Excellent!
Those were made by LeGrelot, so it will undoubtedly be a great shaver!
Once you get rid of that "tooth"...
You can still buy them brand new in Germany at
DICK GmbH - Feine Werkzeuge zur Holzbearbeitung
They sell a 4/8" new Jaguar. I presume because they normally sell TI products that it is out of the TI factory.
Maybe an old Le Grelot blank.
