Is this an Escher?

I seem to have a vague recollection that E. & Co. were at least Thuringian, but it is a vague and hazy recollection, and can't seem to find the reference anymore. It sort of looks the part to me.

Anyway, I'm gunning for a YES! Got a 50% chance of being right...

Full disclosure – I am the seller of this hone.

E. & Co. and Escher & Co. were the same firm, unless I'm very much mistaken.

The little color-grade labels Escher put on the end of their hones read "E. & Co." Below are pics of two of these, the "dark blue" from the escher I'm selling and the "yellow-green" from Kees' escher.

You can also tell from their trademark blurb: "They need no other recommendation as to their quality than a single trial, which will be sufficient to convince the most incredulous of their superiority."

These are the genuine water hones. They need no other recommendation as to their quality than a single nod from Kees.:)
