Default Wish I had some extra dough:

(No I don't know the seller).. If I did I'd sneak into his house and steal it.

I know another seller from OH that you know and could sneak into his house - guaranteed nice stuff for stealing
But you'll have to steal one for me too...

    Very nice!

This one is IT for me http://cgi.ebay.com/FANCY-Dubl-Duck-Wonderedge-5-8-Straight-Razor-w-Box_W0QQitemZ120263154471QQihZ002QQcategoryZ35990Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

if I had some self control and stopped myself from ordering a Livi/Takeda with stag scales from SRD on Saturday night I'd seriously consider putting a bid on it. Can't wait to see what it ends up going for.

Well, at least you're getting a great razor. I have one of those sets and I love it, only use the tension strop once in awhile but the brush is in use daily, I love the heft and feel of it and the razor is one of 3 that I currently use.

Can you buy Livi brushes alone anywhere, barring a drive to Italy?

What happened to the scales on that one? Looks like someone sat on them - is that sort of thing easily repaired, or even repairable at all?

I didn't notice. I went back and looked...still not sure I see any problems with them...what am I missing?

To be honest, even if there are issues with the scales, ultimately it's the blade I'm after...while it'd be nice to have the complete package, that razor just looks really nice to me.

You didn't see the end warp? check the last couple of photos, the blade is pushed up against the scales because of the warp. Anyway, I don't think it's a huge deal, but I am curious about the possibility of repairing such a problem

I dunno, the seller even says the scales are warped I just don' t see too much. Plus, I can't keep my eyes off the circles long enough to focus on the slightly warped scales...if they're bad enough to be an issue I could always send them to traveller or another resident scale maker to make things right...but again, I have no where near enough cash to win this.
