I've never seen anything like this before. Looks very interesting, but overpriced, IMO.

Yeah I saw that one on the bay too.I love some of those old Greaves blades.I imagine it's going to go sky high due to it's uniqueness. It's very cool.
Very cool razor. The Joseph Harwood that the seller has listed is also very tempting, but I would imagine that both of the pieces are more likely to go to collectors rather than people who would do the sensible thing and shave with them.
Regards,
Alex
A_S - I can't speak to the Harwood, but the Greaves will be shaved with:rock:
holli - Yeah, you're right about the seller. I hesitated a little bit on this one because I knew if it didn't sell, it'd be back up immediately with an opening bid of $99 or something. I really wanted it though, it was worth the $130 to me and I didn't want to risk it. I passed on a Boker Waldorf a month or two ago from that seller that had an opening bid of $49...he relisted it with a $39 opening bid, and it ended up selling in the $130's. I'm happy with what I paid for the greaves...I think if it had been listed with a $0.99 opening bid it would have closed higher than $130.
Glad to hear that a member snagged it. I'll look forward to the mini review. Congrats.
