Puma Gold (#77) Vintage Razor - eBay (item 200302575256 end time Jan-31-09 10:56:53 PST)

Well Pizza you wont have to worry about me on this one! It sure is pretty though....go for it.:D
Matt
Looks like somebody want to make easy money... blah
It reminds me of the Chevy Impala and the Biscayne. Same cars but the Impala had the chrome and fancier interior for a lot more money. The Gold is fancy with the blade etch and gold wash but it is a Puma in all other respects. Good razors but a lot to pay for the bling.
Got a #77, Pic here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...eds-one-2.html It gives a killer shave and was easy to hone.
Thats one h3ll of a starting price isnt it.
Matt
It's all yours man... :w
Must keep repeating.. "I hate cats.. I hate cats.." Wow, that's a pretty kitty..but I really *do* hate cats....Well, all except Mr. Toes.
My understanding is that the $510 puma is a lot rarer than the 77 the seller has. And apparently the larger size makes it very desirable.
In any case it may be worth the asking price to somebody and to most it probably won't. We all value different things in a razor.
Ya know, funny thing about that $510 razor (shown here: Puma Gold Razor Vintage KNIFE~HUNTING~KNIVES~ - eBay (item 280299712278 end time Jan-11-09 19:22:59 PST) ) is that it doesn't have the original scales. Don't all original Puma scales have the Puma logo on them? 510 bucks for a Puma that doesn't have the original scales. Sounds like a mistake *I'd* make.
It will never be worth it to me... my wife would do this.:chop:

In my opinion 200 $ is more than a faire price for this razor. I would mine not sell for this, and mine is not in so good condition like this one you shown here. A Puma Gold is very rare and one of the best ever made razor of this planet. Believe me, I had more than 200 different razors in my hands.
Priceless ;)
(No, its not my auction :D )
A 6/8ths Puma Gold is a ligitimate $500 razor if in excellent condition. They are perhaps the best production razor ever (yes, I own one. See the cathouse). The one referenced for $510 was purchased by a member from a Puma knife collector. I also questioned the scales, but he seemed convinced they were not replacements as he had a history with the seller.
That particular razor turned out to be closer to 7/8, very rare.
