much better, you actually had done a good job by not putting it in the larger razor catagory on ebay, but you've posted ithere, already it's going high. good for you
anybody know what is with the ebay bidding though? I bid 40, someobody else has beat me at the same price, how does that work? I thought if you had a max in there it bumped you just past the next highest bid (i.e. whoever beat me would be 41). Ebay has made some crazy changes lately not all of which I understand or like.

Red, I'm not sure if this is what happened, but if there's a tie it goes to the 1st bidder. IIRC it's always been like that.
I never remembered it that way, but I could have just remembered wrong. or never had that happen before. I'm still on it though.
my birthday is the 21st, I had purchased on ebay on Jan 6 a 15/16 w&b that needed restoration, was going to have custom handles made etc. as my present. but it never showed up (now WAITING to get the frickin' money back) and figure this one doesn't need anything.....:D

Yes. ties go to the first bid in. What are you doing bidding even numbers? If you're going to bid $40 then bid $40.07 :). You're probably going to avoid ties that way.Quote:

Yep - that's what it was. Nothing has changed, it has been this way for as long as I've been on eBay
I normally do bid really odd numbers, very random. but I was only bidding this early for two reasons 1. to see what the price would come out to in US dollars (lower than I though, good) and 2. so it would show up on the bidding portion of my ebay rather than my huge list of watching.
6 days is a long time, I only have so much money to work with (provided I ever get paid back for the no show w&b) so if I see another good deal BEFORE 6 days is up I have to decide to take it or risk go after this one and loosing. I already kick myself for missing that 7/8 wedge yesterday in classifieds.
Ah, just 5 or 6 more years, girls in school, no more childcare.

I think this razor will go up like a rocket in the last seconds. For 40 pounds you will never get a razor in this conditions at ebay anymore :nj

I had so much orders to rescale customer razors, that I no had time to finish straights for sell. The problem is, Im having also a real job, thats requires 9 hours per day, 3 little children, my wife and only 2 hands and 24 hours per day.
But there are a lot of new photos in the "gallery" section :tu
