E-bay is a disturbing place.
So, I am selling a couple of vintage paddle strops, and I received one bid, which is cool and everything. sooo... I was bored tonight so I checked out the bidder's history.
Here is my auction they are bidding on:
Lot of 2 Vintage Leather Straight Razor Paddle Strops - eBay (item 110355888260 end time Mar-02-09 19:31:44 PST)
And here are some of the auctions that they won in the last few months:
VINTAGE " CENTRAL BLACK SHIRTS " PADDLE - eBay (item 160315763292 end time Feb-16-09 09:55:15 PST)
1989 VINTAGE YOGI BEAR & BOO BOO WOODEN PADDLES - eBay (item 300266718111 end time Jan-18-09 18:00:32 PST)
Wooden Paddle With Bear Decor Wall Hanging Vintage - eBay (item 260360561697 end time Feb-14-09 14:25:03 PST)
initially, i thought..how wierd, someone that collects vintage paddles...
Then, I ran across this auction they won:
Back To Common Sense - Spanking and Discipline - eBay (item 250352700571 end time Jan-12-09 10:04:49 PST)
...then I realized...
My antique paddle strops may be unable to fulfill their destiny of sharpening razors..... instead be used as instruments of torture for use on small, unsuspecting children ...

Good for them.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Geez ! If Tony Miller see this post he may discontinue the paddles
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The answer to: Why is there a gajillion vintage straight razors on ebay but only a few strops?
All the pervy, S&M-types have snarfed them up already.
