Thread: Me bad.. bought a lot of rust and a Friodur

I was bad..... SWMBO told me I couldn't buy razors anymore....

I saw this lot of rusty blades... but then I saw one shiny razor... and I wanted a Friodur anyway..
The Dubl Duck hairshaper..will probably replace my shavette on vacations...
I needed some new scales anyway..

I will see if I can rescue some of the other razors and give them away..

That Friodur looks like a diamond amongst all the others! Hope it's got no issues. I did a similar thing just for a DePews, but there were a few other good one's in that lot.

I'm glad you bought that because if I saw it first I wouldn't have been able to resist. Anyone who has bought old rusty junk and restored it to a beautiful shiny work of art feels the temptation of rusty old blades.

I was in on that lot for the Friodur; I'd say that one alone is probably worth what you're paying for the lot. Maybe some of the other stuff will turn out to be usable as a little bonus.

Yeah I had my eye on this lot too, just for the friodur. I decided at the last minute that I didn't want it. Actually I was just buying too much other stuff, lol. I would have snagged it if it stayed at the "too good to be true" price point, though.

Nice grab at any rate, the friodur looks to be in good shape, and at that price isn't a bad deal.

Up to Sunday evening (local time here) it was at $15.50 I set up Gixen a week ago at a price I was willing to pay for the Friodur and added some for the DD. There wasn't any hint of the Friodur in the description and I agree that the price is pretty ok for the friodur alone. I sure hope it isnt cracked..

There are some pretty busted razors in that lot and some with significant honewear.. I will use one to replace some very ugly plastic Dovo replacement scales on a razor I have..

But I'll decide what to do when the lot arives and see how much can be saved..
