this guy either sent me a different similair blade, or he can restore really well. No rust, not a spec. some pitting on the tail but thats fine.

That's not the same razor, different stamp.
i think he jsut found a pic of another joseph rodgers maybe... this is what it looked like in the classifieds ad.....
either way im happy
:)
if it cant be read in pics mine says
(cross over star) joseph rodgers and son cutlers to their majesty N{?} 6 norfolk street sheffield
it has some beautiful but almost paper-thin bone scales.
The razor in the beginning of this theme is absolutely another. It was on sale in classifields for $55(including shipping). The razor was made 1830-1837.
agreed.
initialy i thought it was the same because the same seller, same looking scales, and then i bought mine for 15, he relisted the same one for 55, but fixed both ads. you know what i mean? this razor(the one i have) had 2 ads at 1 time, one was for 55.
im still happy with my 15 dollar razor from ryrelav, he shipped that day and was quite friendly.
its funny, initially i was scared because right after i bought the one i got, i saw this thread and was shocked by all the tarnishing on the razor and scales. but mine is purty.
