I saw it and I do want one,but I just blew all my spending money on a Fillie Barbas Duras and knowing it would go for big bucks I had to pass. I hope it went to a shaver and one of us.
i was in 2nd place, first loser, on that one. :(
that's the second one this month! I missed the first one by 4 minutes!
Since the last two mark 33s brought such a high price I would expect more to turn up. Looks like interest in Heljestrands is on the rise, and I was hoping to get a 33 at a reasonable price. Oh well ,to misquote Robby Burns ,the best laid plans of mice and men gang oft aglee .
Don't get me wrong, I love my 31, and will probably keep it forever because it gashed me bad during the learning process, but I'm still hoping a real nice 32 or 33 comes to my door... without the hyped price. Here's hoping?
I didn't bid on this one as my bid on the other one was way below the winning bid of $183.
But, as Stropper points out, this may bring more to market. I would like to find a 32 or 33 also, but will have to "get by" with a 31 a while longer.
I have two Heljestrands, a 31 and a 33, but they just do not click with me. Shames as I really like the notch and jimps
Use an auction sniper. I recommend gixen.com, free and very reliable especially if you buy Mirror service at 6 USD a year. When using mirror I never missed an auction (except when outbid of course), without mirror it happened once or twice. So if I see sth I want very badly I buy Mirror.
in the age of the iPhone I had no reason not to be on top of that auction. but sometimes it's better to let one pass... or two... I feel if I had an auction sniper I would get myself into serious trouble. With the sport left in it, the scales of want and need are more easily balanced. (that's what i tell myself to be ok with losing auction after auction after auction...)
