I can't help wondering why it isn't shown with the blade shut in any of the pictures. Might not mean anything of course, but this thread springs to mind...

That is correct as far as it goes ..... but it doesn't go very far in terms of enforcement. If you look at the bid history of the auction that ended and then the active one you will find that the person who withdrew the $505 bid has the same feedback number as one of the leading bidders in the current lifetime dd auction. How do you withdraw a bid? Do you need a reason?
Just withdraw it and usually enter "wrong bid amount". They don't enforce it from what I've seen,Quote:

I think when i had to withdraw a bid(had an extra zero on my bid...) i went to help and typed in wrong bid or something like that. It then sent me to the bid retraction screen.
