Seriously, $80 for a blade in this condition is cheap nowadays?
not at all, I was being sarcastic.
I decided to paly along and put my best offer of 15 with explanation of exactly what kind of work this needs to get to look like a razor, and the counter offer I got was 61. To me it looks like because its a big chunk of steel it must be worth a lot to the seller ..
That is an insane pricetag. All that pitting in the edge. I wouldn't take that blade for free just because of the headache it would be to make her shave.
It's unnaturally shiny for having so many pits... methinks a failed restoration attempt... someone has been fiddling with it, at any rate, and that always makes me hesitant to buy...
Same seller, same comical pricing scheme.

some people think that a bit of maas makes razors worth a fortune...
We should all get together and send a bunch of "realistic offers" see how it goes. At the very least it will bring him closer to reality.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geez, that's insane. The first one doesn't even have any scales, and he's asking 3 times as much as I've seen shave ready vintage razors go for here.
On that second razor by the same seller... I'm trying to learn here, so I'm taking a guess... but is that cell rot? I see the nice neat line of pitting going across the blade, ending right above where the razor closes into the scales.
Nope,I don't think it can be celluloid rot since I believe these are translucent horn scales.More likely,in it's past life,it was closed and put away while still a bit wet and corrosion started at the scale line.
