So, the two bidders could be knowledgeable Pike razor hone collectors who know exactly what they are getting and it's worth (to them), or they could be newbies hoping to score a $500 hone to resell on eBay for twice what they paid for it. I just did a completed listing search for Pike hones, and saw 3 recent ones, none of which sold for over $30.
Glen, I have never heard of anybody assigning a grit number to THE Norton hone, but it would have to be a fast cutter to sharpen an axe, no?
