These are probably from a Barber school that close down years ago for there to be a box full of the same model.who knows what else there is out there waiting to be discovered.
Already over $2000 with 4 days left. WOW
I quit $500 ago...no room to keep a few and sell the rest...
$2,025.00 and counting. " Ladies and Gentleman welcome to the DOUBLE DUCK SHOW" courtesy of eBay.:beer2:
Auction ended early??
Nope, still active...
I wrote to him asking about the condition of the edges of the blades, as they were not evident in the photos, and that is just a scary amount of money to bid on the blind hope that the gold washed tangs are all connected to blades that dont look like you could comb your hair with them.
Never heard back. Did he ever post pictures of all the blades in the open position? I stopped even looking.:boohoo:
i don't know someone mention this already or not .
Guys this seller very smart seller.
Never buy anything from bay if Buyer says
NO RETURN ACCEPTED.
EVEN for a lot cheap price.
gl luck who pays 0ver 2000.00
The only person I can think of that would be remotely interested would be cedarfunitureman. His stuff is so nice he could off them after he got thru cleaning them up over a period of time. Even then the price is already so high he is not going to make that much so would probably have to give it a lot of serious thought.
Whoever it is has to be seeing the profit margin shrinking big time. After it is over I'll be interested to see if a series of mint, or near mint, Goldedges begin to appear on ebay and how much they bring. :)
Way too big of a gamble even at 1,000 for me. For all I know, 8 of the 12 are chipped. Nothing in the description about any defects on the blade or if they are all perfect. No returns accepted. Despite these facts, the lady still have perfect feedback score after selling over 2500 items
I asked for detailed pics to be sent to my email, but go no response.
meh.
Now if they were wonderedges... :p
First think I noticed is "No Returns Accepted". You need to have one huge pair, to bid over 2 grand on razors you really can't see. Shoot, the one shown appears to have rust...If I even considered bidding, I'd have to be able to see each razor....
The higher they bid on those razors, the least sense it makes to purchase. The whole point, atleast to me, on bidding on a "Lot of razors" is to walk away ahead of the game. Hence I stopped bidding at $500.
I'm no fool. I posted when I was certain of the financial demand being higher than my desire to have the item. When I posted this I was already done with it. Thought it was an interesting listing that everyone would get a little humor from. I like Double Ducks but I don't Love them. LOL I can certainly think of 100 things I would prefer spending $2500 on which I would get more enjoyment from. This is just ridiculous. In my opinion it was ridiculous at $1000. But there's an old saying. " a fool and his money often part ways" . LOL
What about people for whom it was not yet too high? I think this kind of thread-- posting an active eBay auction-- is really inconsiderate. I doubt it would have hit anywhere near $2500 without this advertising going on. We have to be careful to 'do unto others' and whatnot: What if someone else had posted this while it was under $500?
Tough luck. Bidding is all about who is willing to pay more for what they want. That's how the game goes. Don't try to blame me for what the auction does. Once it gets listed it's out there. It will do what it does. You pay to play if it means THAT much to you.
I will walk your dog's for $900. :)
