Ebay Auctions for Hones and Accesories

You need to be careful posting your own auctions on here with so few posts made. The mods around here consider that spamming.
EDIT
Okay, after reading the other thread it would appear that I am wrong. Not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.

It appears you've missed one point of auction sites too :)

2 more strops on ebay

I dimly recall about a year and a half ago that the UK Ebay site banned SRs for some reason. Do I remember it wrong or did they start back up again? Before the ban I picked up some really sweet deals there on some blades that I never saw up for sale on the US site.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to ressurct this old thread. I used to be the owner of the William Webster razor, i think i sold it some seven years ago.
I absolutley loved this razor, it was my favourite and my go to one.
Unfortunatley due to the recession around that time i was owed 8 months of my salary from work and i was in dire straights. I was forced to sell all my razors, hones and TM strop.
It was heart breaking have to sell this one especially.
However, i am in a position to buy it back. I dont remember who i sold it too as my ebay listings wont go back that far, but if anyone on this forum has it and is willing to part with it then please pm me.
Kind regards,
Danny

A quote from the Forum Moderator:
""It has been determined that you CAN post links in this forum to your eBay or other auction sales items since it has been done in the past. We would prefer that if you have several razors that you put all of them in ONE thread and post it on this forum "Auction Talk.......eBay, etc". Also, do not post links to auctions in the RAZOR forum it is strictly for information about razors.""
This forum has different rules than any other I belong to.
I always thought that it was unethical to point to an ebay sale. A few poor people may have been watching it to get the item for a sane price they could afford. I have seen many auctions that went way high due to a bidding war after the item was touted on a forum. And as always the bux got the prize.

IIRC, the moderators have explained in the past that active members may post here about some of their online auctions, but to keep it reasonable. In the case of Pahlavan se15, he has been a member since 2008 and has 10 posts at the time of this post.
I do not consider him an active member. Indeed, most of his posts are Here, peddling his wares.
I see now that the 'se15' has been dropped from his username suggesting he has now another account with only 2 posts, here.
No, I don't think this comes within general description of allowing links to auctions by ACTIVE members.
JMO, YMMV

Hi Sharpton,
I am not sure what your last post meant. I am sorry if i have breached any rules and regulations. Please accept my apologies.
I had to sell my wares all those years ago as i was desperate for cash having lost my job and being owed 8 months in salary.
Regarding the name change, the previous account was set up with my old office email which i no longer have access too for said reasons. So i set up a new one with my persoanl email address.
Please accept my apologies and also i am happy to back on this invaluable forum.

Danny, there are suggestions for this activity. No hard rules have been brought down and it is a 'self-policing' activity to be used by ACTIVE members. Taking advantage of it (as I feel you are) will only result in penalties in the form of new, firm rules and will give our mods another chore to deal with. I suggest you participate in the forum many, many times more than you come to sell.
We ALL have issues with jobs, money at times and need to sell something.
This is my opinion. Others may have theirs. Yours matters little at this point, IMO, as it is obvious you are not an active member, nor do you have anything to lose by taking advantage of it.
