IIRC framebacks didn't begin until the 1830s or thereabouts. The seller says "hoof horn" scales .... must have been some long hooves on that animal. ;)
I didnt see this maker in the list of makers, anyone jnow when they were in business?

Yeah, no way that thing is pre-1740. If it is, it would make it the only listed selling point on which the seller isn't talking out of his....
I agree with Jimmy, frameback razors were first manufactured in the 1820's and ended around the 1870s. Another give away as to the age of this razor is the shape of the monkey tail. This particular shape dates back to somewhere late 1820's.*

Spazola?..Spazola? is he the hermit living in northern Italy making razors out of a monastery near Milan?...anywho, I don't know which angels he is talking to; but I have not seen 2010 vintage Framebacks.
