I am deciding between this 2:

If you had to pick which one would you buy.
Also looking at the Wade, from the front and comparing to File:SRP GrindForm.GIF - Straight Razor Place Wiki
I think its a half hollow is this right ?
If I had to pick I would pick the one I liked best. Do you prefer wedges or hollows ?
The wade looks 1/4 hollow (wedge) to my eyes.
Also the W&B needs honing according to the ad so may be an extra cost. The Puma is good to go according to the seller.
They have both been restored so it would be my practice to put whichever I bought under the microscope to check the edge for pitting.
Generally speaking the term shave ready is a relative concept & not an absolute value especially on eBay.

Gut feeling the puma looks the better razor, but with out an up close inspection of the edge's its really a toss up.
For looks, it's up to you. Of the two I personally like the look of the Puma but it's really your choice.
The Puma comes shave ready according to the ad, and the W&B doesn't so you'd have to send thy one out. But then you might have to send the Puma out as well if the sellers definition of shave ready is a broad term!
Really it comes down to the looks. Which do you like the look of more?
No need too send out the W&B, Goodtann will hone it for free if you ask(says so in the auction too), and he does a great edge. Both looks great really.
Personal opinion, they are both way overpriced for what they are.

I vote for Puma. One of the best shavers. Another plus - it is shave ready.

The Puma looks great, and frankly, the price is excellent. This is a completely restored Puma. But, as with all things, it's worth what someone will pay. If I were looking for a nice Puma, I'd pull the trigger.
I dissent with the rest of the gang; if you are starting out get a low priced razor honed by a professional honer, like a DOVO Best Quality or something from the classifieds. However, if you are not a newbie, them get what you like best. HOG
Thanks for all the answers :). I actually do have a Dovo Best quality and a Thiers Issard, both bought shave ready. Seems like prices on E-bay are overprices so I'll just hold on until I find one in the classifieds here.

I like the Puma...
I'd take the puma, except that it's a bit too shiny of a blade that sits in those celluloid-rot prone scales. Were there problems in the past? Would there be in the future?
