Only $2,000. Hmm, I think I'll dip into my swiss bank account.:rofl2:
Wow someone is out to lunch. They aren't even that nice.
Shame they are not a pair??!
i didn't know crack smoking was such a epidemic in canada........ wow...
I've got that box, minus the Wade & Butcher label. It could be yours for, oh, $500.
Omg. You're right!! I didn't even notice the pair doesn't match. Shows I shouldn't post before coffee... so now I think he's overpriced by a factor of 12. Sorry to waste everyone's time... :gaah:
No bidders yet... what a surprise!
I have seen many Sheffield pairs with 2 different grinds/styles involved. It seems they may have been ordered/made that way for a customer's preference. Possibly a barber needing 2 for different beard types/customers. They seem to be nice razors. As to the price, I have seen razors like this go for 700 bucks each, so throw in the 500 dollar box(you said it!) and someone will buy it.
You fellas should think twice about "crack smoking" allegations, in my opinion. That could be a fellow SRP member selling that item. You don't have to buy it, you know! Sorry if I have offended anyone, but it seems ungentlemanly to me. Oh......get it on...Tom
I do agree sharptonn, I certainly would not complain if it sells. I gotta a dozen big W&B choppers I sell every day of the week for that kind of money. LOL
Best Regards
Kenny
Looks like the notch point may have been re-scaled .
I agree. They seem flatter and the pins appear silver. I did not catch the width in the listing either.
I deleted my contribution to the crack smoking speculation. My apologies.
Class act, roughkype!
They look like great razors, and you get a strop thrown in for free. The square toed one seems quite large. What's not to like?
Forget the razors: I like that strop. The Scorcher!
if he gets $2000 for those i have ~$10,000 worth of razors i need to sell.......
i seriously hope people have enough sense to know the crack smoking joke was just that.... A JOKE...... sheeesh....
Sure. We all joke like that. In certain company. But when it seems directed at an individual, well, seems to start problems here. I appreciate the sheeesh! Been guilty too. Just a concerned citizen, I guess. I certainly ment no offence. Hey! if it Does bring that much, you should be a big beneficiary, it sounds like, if you will sell them! :D Get it on.......Tom
So easy to misinterpret internet posts ..... Here I thought the objection to the comparison with crack smokers was that comparing them to someone who would price that set at 2k was an insult to all crack smokers ...... :p ....:rofl2:
Now were getting to it! A crackhead would want 50 grand!:banghead:
only 8 days to go and no offers, come on guys! Make him an offer!
Maybe he's from the future where razors no longer exist! I think he time traveled in the wrong direction though! LOL
Attachment 76416
Edit: Do you think he will reject me if i offer him $100. I hope the eBay buyer protection covers loss of value too.
Nah.I wouldn't .You will get much better razor for less.Look for Sheffield look for Gotta.
Wow, I have a box like that also. Just think, I could sell that and purchase another expensive rock. Who knew?
Wow.Mines is worth like $30.
Wow.For an old Gottah.I know a shop that has at least 12 in stock for £30 each. All New Old Stock.I will go there tomorrow. But I will keep them all.Hurr hurr.
Price aside, I really like that set.
I don't know if it is actually a set.
Not only are the points different, so are the scales. And scales are usually matched in a set.
That said, maybe he is from the future, and 2000$ is the price of a loaf of bread. ;)
NVM, should have read all 3 pages before posting
His wife probably said to sell them.
Now, he can tell her, "Honey, I put them on Ebay, but nobody bought them".
If somebody offers him $800 he will probably take it...eventually. The seller probably has a collection but has not been actively involved in the straight razor business so his valuations are probably based on a few past sales on Ebay.
Edit......I just made him an offer...it was declined.
Ah, I've got one of those - not as nice and it's only a single.. Who'll start the bidding at £300 :hmmm::w:
