Talk about a rough shave :rofl2:
RARE CUT THROAT SERRATED TOP FLIGHT BURRELL STRAIGHT RAZOR | eBay
Can any of you provide an explanation for this? I don't quite get "to enable shaving cream to be spread."
Looks like a candidate for bread knifing

that looks nuts, there must be a reason for it being like that, wonder what it is?
Looks more like a hair thinning tool to me.
Or a beard thinner for that matter:)
Looks like it would be used for trimming hair.
No way that would go near MY face!
I thought maybe someone was trying to hide a chip in the blade by putting in a whole lot more chips.
Gotta be for hair thinning rather than shaving, kind of like those scissors with the comb instead of a second straight blade.
It's for making tiny, tiny, corn rows. :p
Many people on this site often remark on the joys of using a straight razor and lament that a great shave means that it will be longer before they need to shave again.
This razor allows almost twice as much shaving for the same result.. thus increasing the joy gained from straight razor shaving. ;)
Edit: and apparently this makes 100 posts
All this time I've been removing the nicks in my blades; I could have left them there to "spread the creme".
It's for hair trimming. Probably missing a part, some kind of guide or something. it's similar to the DD hair shapers.
This is some homegrown idiot's project to cut notches into an otherwise normal razor. In looking at a selection of Burrell razors, this aberration is not seen on any of them. I don't believe this razor was commercially produced in this configuration. The teeth are of varying depths and widths and only cover two-thirds of the blade. And futhermore, it is irresponsible of the seller to fabricate such a stupid description.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that they stopped short of the tip.
Please tell me there isnt someone in this world stupid enough to put that thing against his face!
A shame! It looks nice otherwise. Burrells have good steel, only made 1 year I think. Cheep scales, though.
there is no way in hell i would put that against my skin..... no .... freaking ..... way.....
It's an adhesive applicator for when you want to tile your face.
James.
If you marketed that razor here in Thailand as the amazing skin whitening, weight loss, device that promotes hair growth on your head and eradicates pimples you could sell a million. Firstly, the vaguest notion of honesty is not required in Thai advertising and also anyone with an IQ above 70 in Thailand is considered a genius.
Yeah ... advertising here is required to be honest but not necessarily honorable. It might seem like a fine distinction to some but the entire industry dances along that line quite happily.
This razor gives the word "Jimps" a completely new meaning.
