If this is a lost dark art then I'm the Great & Powerful Oz
I'd love to send him a couple of old wedges just for fun but the postage would cost more than the service“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”

B-b-but he said it would pass the HHT guaranteeing a good shave
There's some nice irony in this guys listing eh.“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”

B b b b but I thought that you were the Great and Powerful Oz!
Seriously, I've always enjoyed your posts and knowledge! I look forward to them!!!
As far as the HHT goes, it's not a reliable 'test' as everyone's 'hair' is different! It's only a 'Guide'! If you watch the video from Dovo when they do the HHT it's with a synthetic 'Hair' this provides constancy!!
Hey 'Oz'! if you'd really like to send him some really hard to hone wedges, let me know and I'll pitch in with the shipping! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 983Hey Os instead of throwing away perfectly good wedges at a complete unknown, you can just hone them yerself and send then to me to verify their shave worthiness!

I am in fact the Great and Powerful Oz & have got matters well in hand ... I think.
But TBH I'd rather put the shipping money towards a good scotch
Mick, I have one or 2 here I could throw at you but I better not hone them in case I actually hit ya !“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”

Guys, look at some of the things you've accomplished. You've taken pieces garbage that you've gotten off eBay or in a junk store for .99 cents and turned them back into the beautiful things that they were 100yrs ago. Skill yes; magic yes!

The only Dark Art I have mastered is turning alcohol into urine. And I am pretty good at that. Other than that I am just an average guy.

Thanked: 14I think this guy is merely trying to ply a little humor as he makes ends meet; he does seem a little low on price if knows what he's doing. He actually offers up a stable of decently-priced razors through his eBay listings. I would also say that with 360 feedbacks at 100% positive he's doing ok by a few folks. Lastly, he must love straights or he wouldn't be doing this, and I figure there's a big chance he's a fellow SRP guy--and I wish him luck!

Thanked: 146A Huge Plus 1 to Kingping! We should be gentlemen here that would promote this thing we love. It is easy to bash someone anonomously. (Like Mama used to say, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything)
