I agree , the blade is toast , but the scales and box could be useful to someone . Not worth more than a value meal at your favorite fast food joint , but not worthless .

Now now guys! Honestly I think you could find an old beat up strop, an old unusable brush and mug, and create a wicked shadow box with it for a man cave. There is always a bright side! no need to toss it. create some art! :)

Back in the good old days, straight razors were carried by "toughs" as weapons. Sometimes they would deliberately chip the blade so it would do more damage. While its not likely it was ever used as a weapon, it IS possible that a nervous school kid ducked it when he thought he might get in trouble for it.
Though I must say, I would be curious to do a police records search and find out of there were any "rumbles" in the school grounds that resulted in somebody needing stitches! :tameshigiri:
