eBay and my Browser... Only Me??

I've been noticing something bothersome lately. With my browser how it works with eBay. After a half day or so of my browser just sitting on eBay, My eBay, and the odd searching now and then for stuff, I notice my cpu shoots up to 100% when I click on links. Pages are slow to respond. If I close down my browser and start up fresh.... all is fine. This happens with both Internet Exploader and with Firefox.
Anyone else afflicted with this same "feature"? I assume it helps you spend less money if the pages respond slow.
