No fair...
Just registering my discontent with that guy who ended his auction on that stone, so he could sell it to somebody else, even though I was bidding on it 5 hours ago when I left the house. Who knows..Maybe my max bid was higher than your ended, relisted, and now sold stone. Ok, ok, it wasn't....but still. :boohoo:

I guarantee, whatever kind of stone it was, there will be another one down the road sometime. If it ain't that it will be something else. :nj

One day you'll thank that guy . :D

everything happens for some kind of reason. try not to stress it, even though it was an ass move

One thing's for sure. I absolutely didn't need it. lol. I'm only marginally qualified to hone. Just thought it was supremely uncool of the seller.

It's funny that you brought up this topic, the whole thing of ending an auction to sell to someone else. Without going into a lot of details, recently there was a seller selling a "razor du jour", bidding was around $260 when the seller abruptly end the auction stating the razor was no longer available. Then a few days later the exact same razor was relisted and went for $440. My point, keep your eyes open and the stone might yet again appear.

The seller is violating ebay's policies, so you can report them and ebay may slap them on the wrist, but that's about it.

That stinks. I've also been frustrated on a couple of occasions by this kind of "now-you-see-it, now-you-don't" listing tactic on eBay. Buyers are held to explicit rules about their bids and commitments to buy; I don't see why sellers shouldn't be held to the same standards.

I never had an auction pulled out from under me , but I did get hoodwinked by some shill bidding once . Luckly , it wasn't for much money . That's ebay for ya .

I won an auction for four Rolls razors last year, the winning bid by me was £0.99, in fact the postage came to nearly ten times the bid, the seller pulled out of the deal before I had time to pay.
