seems somewhat of a bigger razor to me, still in a nice state, probably over priced though, currently at $31 :s

Not yet, but it's getting there. Still a very interesting piece. I'd pay $30 to get it if I had some room in my budget.
Did you see me lose with a $71 snipe?  Am pretty worked up about it, too.
I definitely wanted that razor - she was dressed so simply yet elegantly... would have loved to have her
Ilija, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. $31 was an absolute steal for this baby, and I thought 71 was over its worth but I guess somebody liked her even more. I would have easily put another 10-20 if I expected this...
Cheers

Ivo, I prefer more "skin" :nj Would not have gone over 40ish on that one. But you're correct. It's a matter of perspective.
I would have paid over 70$ for that, if I had the money. I've bought several ivory razors from Carventer and he's a great guy to deal with. If I know Carventer, he'll have another couple of ivory straights up next week too!
As a shaver, it may only be worth $40 to you, but from a collecting stand point, good condition ivory scales and an ivory covered tang are not an easy combination to find. I've got at least two dozen ivory razors and not one of them has an ivory covered tang, not for lack of want.
Great words, Matt!Quote:
