sure they're good, as long as the blade is intact and fixed enough in the scales? I think eskilstuna is also a good brand.(but I'm not one of those rasorgods, just starting out myself, so don't take my word for it, ask one of the shave-elders here) :)
a TI with holes in the blade won't be a magical shaver either.

The Swedish razors tend to be very good from what I know about them and the price you paid isn't unreasonable.

I asked beforehand about shipping on a French ebay razor one time and the number that came back was so high I didn't consider a bid.

Is it any good ?. Well my son, you've come up trumps IMHO. The swedish blade would be my preference over a TI.

Yes, apparently your auction was for an Antique "Cut Throat" Razor (in a Thiers Issard Box) instead of an Antique Thiers Issard "Cut Throat" Razor. :P

Not that I am the arbiter of such things, but even I would say that's probably misleading.:) Though it likely would have been less so if you understood the description, the title does make it sound like a TI razor. Fortunately, it looks like you came out okay on this, with a really nice razor.

Technically it's a place where the razor is made and perhaps more importantly, where the steel comes from and not an actual brand name.

Good call. My Elskeltuna CV Heljestrand MK No. 24 3/8 French point is very good steel indeed. The small size can be tricky to hone, but the high quality steel compensates by trimming up very keen. I hope you like ours as much.

Yes, but that doesn't make any sense in English, whereas I guessed (since I didn't know) that it was the equivalent.

Or does cabbage somehow refer to your beard, rather than your head?
