Not familiar with that particular brand, but no reason a nice vintage blade like that shouldnt shave well. I think the seller is a member here? ( I cant keep everybody straight in my head!)
They were a retailer. The razor was made by an unknown manufacturer in Germany. it should be a quality piece.
Nice looking blade. What concerns me is the seller's description of "light hone wear." YMMV.
Not to derail this thread, but since I lack sufficient expertise to determine the extent of the hone wear, I'd be somewhat leery of the seller's description thereof until I got the opinion of someone I trusted who also had superior knowledge to myself. I meant absolutely no offence to the seller whatsoever.
"Caveat emptor" as they say.
Sorry for the hijack!
"Seelbrand" was the mark of the KC Seelbach Co. -- New York and Solingen --like this one

I sold a "Blackhawk" razor a couple months ago from Seelbach, it was a typically excellent vintage Solingen product. This Niagara razor also looks to be a fine razor, and I don't see any wear worth a bit of worry.
Thanks for all the great info guys! Really appreciate all the help!
the hone wear is minimal AFAIK, IMO the razor is in very nice condition.
@OP, it is not a good idea to post active actions on the forums, because you risk a bunch of people liking the razor and getting into bidding war driving the price above your (if you have one) pay limit.
