Now it's time to compete in the "Ask the seller a question" section.

This is an obvious fraud.

That scale was made by Elias Hull's hafting firm; Hull, Pickett, Vickers, Peters & Brown. They were the exclusive suppliers for the scales used at Thomas Ellin's factory. Ellin was well known to hate Wade & Butcher because William Butcher once called his mother a "parsimonious brood-sow who smells of lant."

Because of the intense hatred between Ellin and W&B, HPVP&B never supplied scales to the Butchers. The newly formed (in 1880) Razor Hafters Trade Protection Society strictly forbade that kind of loyalty hopping.

You can tell the scale was made by HPVP&B because of the pixels. They are signed 'PO', which everyone knows belongs to Hull's scale firm.

Also, the blade is actually a 10/8. If it weren't invisible, all of this would be much clearer.

The idea is to use your imagination ..... this way you can 'have' any blade on that scale that you want .... you can also imagine a front scale with a silver inlay or something like that. You can't go wrong .... pricey though for having to furnish the blade/scale with your imagination. :idea:
