Cool someone could put it on the hood of there car like Texan longhorns
:roflmao:roflmao:roflmao
I sold a Gotta not long ago like that.
That is a really cool item. I have a couple of Case Bros razors and a dozen old tested and double X pocket knives. If I had the extra $ I'd probably try to get that wall hanger but ...... :boohoo:
Being the extravagant display piece it is, do you think that could be genuine tortoise on the scales? In some shots it looks plasticky and thick, but the mottling looks like the real stuff.
I strongly doubt it is the real McCoy. When I got a Case Bros Springville, NY razor with tortoise scales I did some google searches and found that the stuff is heated and then laminated to form combs, scales, and other relatively small items. There are a couple of spots on the edge of the scales of my Case Bros that were delaminating. I couldn't figure out what that was so that is what stimulated the search. I suppose it is possible that they could have went through the time, expense, labor and material to fashion those scales out of the genuine article but I doubt it.
