This guy says the blade and handle are in "Very Good Shape". Who is he kidding??
This thing has the worst frown of any razor I have seen. It's shot!

I don't know, if you puff your cheeks out one swipe ought to do it for them.
Bob
It almost looks like he took a wire wheel grinder to it. Or somebody did... seems like telltale discoloration along the blade frown from it.
Looks like a corn knife to me Har!!!!!
At leat it comes with the box!
That's not a frown its a smile you're looking at it upside down..... :gaah:... :p
I think this may work perfect for someone to shave their head, it just has to fit the contours.
Filarmonica's are about the best, but not this one.
It does look like a full 8/8 (mm).
I would pay top dollar for Dizzy Gillespie's razor.
Charlie
I don't think you understand Spanish Steel! Those razors are good for at least 250K miles before their 1st bevel reset. That 'dog'll hunt' for 5to10 more years.(:-).
It was specifically designed to shave around a goatee. Just suck in your lip and zip, perfect line. Heck, you could run a reverse skunk stripe right down your neck with that concave wonder!

Thanks Hope, I needed the visual aid for the Dizzy reference!
I would have to say the guy is mostly kidding himself.
I see he lowered the price from $55 to $35. i would maybe bid a dollar for it. If it ships free...
I just looked this up and it has been relisted for about the fourth time with no price reduction.
Is there a lesson to be learnt by this vendor?
I don't know. You guys seem awfully critical of this one. It looks like one of the nicer Filly's I've seen. The blade has a beautiful custom curvature to it. The scales do not appear to show any cracks. And the box has been restored with great precision. The seller even guarantees that the blade and handle are in great shape. I don't know what more you want here. I would buy it except for the fact that the blade seems to have a little more heft to it than I prefer. I find heavy grinds like this a tad clumsy to use.
Wow, what a bad one.
The problem is you guys are looking at it from a shavers perspective. He isn't saying it's in good shave condition, just the physical razor is. After all is the blade pitted or rusty? Are the scales broken? To an antique collector it might be just what you are looking for.
Har har.
I would really like to add a filly to the collection and this razor won't kick the pocket book in the crotch so I may go for it!
I figure 55,000 circles later, a completely worn 1k stone and a destroyed rotator cuff and I will have the only 1/8 filly on SRP! :D
Thats a crazy steep frown lol not even sure how you would do that to a blade lol
