Looks like hone wear, a little toe heavy but this would be a good shaver if this is your "style"
Still has some shaving life in it.
It's all about the last 90 seconds most of the time!
If you are a beginning straight razor shaver I would get a new razor (shave ready), or one in the Classifieds section of this forum. You are about to undertake a learning curve and by doing what I suggested you will eliminate the variable of a questionable razor. I just can't recommend that an inexperienced shaver go to ebay, just too many shoddy items on sale.
Hi
I see nothing wrong that a good hone and strop can't fix. A lot or razors start out low and then sell for a good price. Keep it on your watch list. Bid in the last 3-4 seconds and hope you get it. Don't know what to tell you to bid that is your decision. good luck
I sometimes care more about language than I probably should but this bothers me and would be a deal breaker: 4” fairly straight hollow ground square point, razor blade. This does not sound like anything you usually read in the forum and that would scare me off. +1 on new or vintage from classifieds in this forum. Good luck.
I bought my first razor a could days ago it's getting honed by someone but it was a challenge in pretty good condition, I was just looking at this one to add to my collection I heard they were good razors with well made steel.
